The cluster “Sondermaschinen- und Anlagenbau Sachsen-Anhalt (SMAB)” and the competence network INPLAS cooperate interdisciplinary in the development of new products and assemblies of industrial valves using new active principles and technologies. The project is funded by cluster cooperation of companies within the initiative “go-cluster: Exzellent vernetzt!” of the BMWi.
The aim of the project is to coordinate research and development activities in order to realize customized services in the field of innovation management for companies that develop and build customized industrial valves.
By bringing together and coordinating complementary competencies and contacts of the cooperation partners, synergies are expected to lead to an accelerated and more successful transfer of new technical developments to the market compared to individual approaches.
The technical developments to be accompanied by innovation management in this project concern the field of industrial valves with the three product groups “plug valve”, “quadruple eccentric butterfly valve” and “auxiliary energy-free safety valve”, in particular in designs for applications in the chemical industry and in the transport and storage of natural gas.
The project is technically risky and serves the R&D-oriented development of innovative process and production technologies for industrial valves.
