Founder and chairman of the board of INPLAS e.V., Prof. Dr. Günter Bräuer of the Fraunhofer Institute for Coating and Surface Technology IST in Braunschweig, receives the INPLAS honorary award at the 14th INPLAS general meeting on November 13th 2019 at the company IHI Hauzer Techno Coating B.V. in Venlo.
Prof. Bräuer will be honoured for his decades of engagement for the plasma community and his commitment for the further development of plasma technology in Germany and Europe. In 2005 the competence network INPLAS was founded by his initiative and in 2006 it was accredited at Kompetenznetze Deutschland. The aim is still to integrate the enormous potential of plasma technology politically and application-oriented into current topics.
Prof. Bräuer did not run again for the board election because of his planned retirement next year. He will, however, remain involved in the network for plasma technology.
We thank Prof. Bräuer for his exemplary, extraordinary engagement for INPLAS or the plasma community and we are looking forward to his engagement for new projects.
